Our Mission
Government budgets are public documents that affect every citizen, yet they remain inaccessible to most people. GovtBudget.com bridges this gap by transforming complex budget data into clear, visual, and comparative analysis. We cover India's Union Budget, all 28 state and 8 Union Territory budgets back to 2000-01; the US federal budget since FY2000 and all 50 state budgets; and UK public finances.
Our platform is politically neutral and data-first. We present facts without editorial bias, and our expert commentary is clearly labelled as opinion. We believe that informed citizens make better democratic choices.

Birendra Kumar
Retd. Additional Secretary, MP Finance Services
Birendra Kumar, an IIT Roorkee alumnus, qualified MPPSC Civil Services in 1989 and joined MP Finance Services. He prepared the budget of Madhya Pradesh for 10 consecutive years (2006-07 to 2016-17) and received the First Prize of Best Officer award from the Chief Minister of MP on December 24, 2014. He completed international training on Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management from NIFM Faridabad and ICPE Ljubljana, Slovenia.
